Since its inception in November, 2017, the NewWay Hospitality Group has been helping leading hospitality organizations and hospitality suppliers around the world.

The principal, Mubashar Shahab holds an MBA and a B-Com degree from University of Guelph, Canada along with an Associate Degree from Bergen Community College.

Mubashar has also completed a long list of certificate courses, seminars and workshops (like Dale Carniegie Course, MCIPS) etc. From the corporate experience, Mubashars past assignments was as Vice President – Global
Procurement with Accor Hotels. Formerly, he worked with FRHI Hotels & Resorts International (Fairmont, Swissôtel and Raffles Hotels & Resorts) as an Executive Director and Head of Global Procurement where he was focused on delivering best procurement practices within the organisation, find and deliver procurement synergies and implement systems and approaches to improve overall impact in the business. He also created procurement clusters around the world thus bringing benefits from regional procurement synergies in leveraged regions.

For over 10 years, he also served on Avendra’s Advisory Board – a leading procurement organization (GPO) in North America with over 5,000 hotels as their customers and over $4.5 billion in contracted spend. Previously, he has worked with Avendra as Director – Customer Care. In the earlier years, Mubashar has worked in senior procurement, operational and marketing roles
across a number of business sectors like Hudson’s Bay Company, Ingram Micro and General Mills.

Mubashar is passionate about procurement transformation and moving procurement from their traditional & process running; past to something more dynamic and engaging. He believes in creating teams with the ability to provide relentless insights in a highly engaged manner. He demonstrates forward-thinking abilities to define a clear vision and compelling value proposition that unites business partners, the procurement team and strategic suppliers to follow that vision.
